As the deputy of events it is my duty to ensure the timely coordination and organization of fun, group-oriented events, that generate a feeling of community throughout the entirety of the ICON student body.  To this position I bring the experience that comes from several years of volunteer service for events, ranging from athletic to communal gatherings, that has allowed me to obtain the national runner-up position for the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award.  By year's end I hope, in conjunction with my fellow members of the course union, to create a memorable year for every student in the ICON program; one that offers each student the opportunity to conjugate with their fellow peers and create a greater sense of community and belonging within their program as a result. #iconselfie
